A BIG Recommendation!

Hello guys,

Wow it has been a long time since I have actually posted on here. I wish I could keep the motivation to post regular but Uni and work take so much of my time that I rarely have any content to post.
However luckily I have found an item that has made a BIG difference to my hair care routine.

Are you ready to know what it is?
Ready?
Drum roll please…..
It is the BIG Sea Salt Shampoo by Lush.

Sea salt shampoo for shine, softness and big endowments. This pot of oceanic goodness is 50% sea salt to give limp hair the volume it deserves, with seaweed infusion to soften and fresh lime juice for shine. After using Big, your hair will be bouncing back to life. (Lush product Description)

Guys, this stuff is amazing. I am simply in love with this product.

I found this product because I was having trouble with my scalp, it was always really itchy and flaky and I began to get these slight puffy lumps which were not attractive nor a nice feeling to have so I thought, I need to find a deep cleansing conditioner that is exfoliating, will help dry out my scalp to stop the blistering but to also give it some moisture to help the flaky dandruff while giving me some slight volume, as I have very flat hair. Than I thought, wow that cannot be possible to find a product that will provide my scalp with moisture, whilst drying it out and exfoliating at the same time. However, apparently it was possible.

I bought the BIG Shampoo on Friday night just recently and couldn't wait to get home to try it out and hopefully sort out my horrible head. As soon as I got home I jumped straight into the shower and used the product. The BIG Shampoo is a very coarse shampoo with actual coarse sea salt bits in it to help exfoliate the scalp. I dug out a tiny bit, about the size of a 20cent coin, and began massaging and scrubbing gently. The product quickly becomes a thick lather of soap, when it gets to this stage i stopped scrubbing and let it sit for maybe 20 seconds just to treat my hair a little bit, then I rinsed it off. I then proceeded to do another shampoo with the product to make sure it really cleans and treats my damaged scalp and boy did it clean well. By the end of the second shampoo my hair was so clean that it began to make a squeaky sound, yes squeaky clean is a literal phrase as well.

You can see the tiny bits of coarse sea salt

After the second coat of shampoo I conditioned it with the conditioner I am using at the moment, the
TRESemmé Salon Silk Conditioner. I then hoped out of the shower, towel dried my hair and continued my normal hair care routine of Argan oil and night time Pantene leave in treatment massaged into my mid lengths-ends. I try to keep leave in conditioners and hair oils away from my roots as they tend to weigh down my hair a little bit and I like to keep my roots dry so it gives the illusion of volume.

After about 4 hours my hair was dry. As I didn't put any other products on my roots I decided to investigate them first. My roots were so soft, there was no flakiness on my scalp and my hair had more volume than it ever has without a blow-dry.

All in all I would definitely recommend the BIG Sea Salt Shampoo by Lush for anyone. My hair feels and smells great and I am in love. I will be repurchasing this one over and over.

Ps. Did I mention that Lush freshly hand makes their products and also doesn't test on a animals? Plus this shampoo is Vegan. Can it get any better?

Well, I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and I am going to try my hardest to post more.
Thanks a bung lovelies.

My Spainish Adventure

It has come to the time, the time when I finally go through the rest of my photos from my travels around Europe and upload them. After sifting through thousands of photos I have finally cut it down. Because there are so many pictures to post I have decided to post them separately. Todays post will showcase photos from my time in Barcelona.

Barcelona was a total culture change. The city is vibrant, colourful and just generally exciting. While I was there I rented an apartment just off the main street, La Ramblas. The location was perfect, it was a short walking distance from the main strip with many restaurants and great shopping just around the corner. There were plenty of touristy things to see such as the Arc de Triomf, take a trip up Mount Tibidabo (WARNING: Food is expensive on the mountain. 16 Euro for 1 pizza - sizing below) to get great panoramic views of the city. The gothic architecture was a highlight of my time in Barcelona along with the amazing spanish cuisine. I must say though the worst bit about the trip, the biggest downfall was the heat, especially in the underground tunnels connecting the tubes. Keeping in mind that I am extremely sensitive to heat so if you are thinking about going it probably wont be affecting at all. All in all I had an amazing time in Barcelona and would recommend it to all of my friends and family.

European Adventure

Let me first start by saying that it has been quite a while. A little too long in fact. The reason for my little vacation was because I have been traveling through Europe and was unable to connect to decent enough internet to blog about my adventures. So, I have decided to take this small gap, where I have a decent internet connection to catch up on my blogging.

I think a much better way to share my travels with you would be through photographs. I am one of those people that believe pictures tell way more of a story then words ever could. So I shall leave you here with some photographs of my journey so far.

Online Shopping

2 words. Online Shopping. The greatest invention in the history of the internet and shopping.

So today I was taking a break from doing assignments and decided that a little bit of online shopping wouldn't hurt. Ohhh how I was wrong. At the moment I am saving every cent I earn so that while I am in Europe I won't have to worry about running out of money. So deciding to 'window shop' online was a big mistake. I ended up buying 3 pairs of sunglasses, a necklace, 2 dresses, a skirt and a pair of heels. Needless to say I am now feeling a little uneasy about my purchases. The 3 pairs of sunglasses were purchased off eBay for a total of $10, so I scored a bargain there. The necklace is from Forever New at $20, both dresses were from Miss Guided, one was $29.95 and the other was $15.60 and the skirt and heels were from Little Lace. The skirt was $55 and the heels were $30. I have this one rule when I shop now that I am on a budget and that is that I can only buy from the 'sale' section, it kind of makes it ok then. After my online shopping spree I then decided what a great post this would make. To share with you all my favourite online shops. So below I will include the name of the store, their website and I will create a scale of price range. Some of the shops I list will also have stores you can actually visit but very few have stores in Brisbane which is why I stick to online.

My favourite Online Shopping
ASOS - $$ - Free Shipping to Australia - No Minimum Spend
Topshop - $$ - Shipping is £9.00 (AUD$14)
Zara - $$-$$$ - Zara is more of a guilty pleasure as they only have stores in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and don't offer deliveries for Australia yet. So unfortunately I have to miss out. One of the downsides of living in Brisbane.
A Boy Named Sue - $$$-$$$$ - Free Standard International Shipping - No Minimum Spend
Little Lace - $$-$$$ - Free Shipping on all orders $150 and over - $10 shipping for orders under $150
Beginning Boutique - $$ - Free Express Postage in Australia
Lucy in the Sky - $$ - Free Domestic shipping on orders $20 or over
Miss Guided - $-$$ - Free Shipping to Australia - Express $10
BooHoo - $-$$ - Free Shipping to Australia
LaLa Bazaar - $$-$$$ - Free Shipping across Australia
Forever New - $$-$$$ - Free Delivery Australia and NZ wide
The Iconic - $$-$$$ - Free Overnight Shipping on all orders over $20 - Australia Wide
Liberty London - $$$$ - International Delivery Flat Rate of £25.00 (AUD$39)
Princess Polly -$$-$$$ - Free Delivery across Australia

*Price Scale: $ = Bargin, $$ = Reasonable/Average, $$$ = Expensive, $$$$ = Splurge

Well, I hope you enjoy and use my favourite online shops. I hope they become useful and you guys find some great items. Let me know if you do in the comments below.

Thanks for reading.
Hope you have a magnificent day/night :)

30 Days of Thanks - Rest of the Days

Hello again,

So I was just doing some thinking and have decided to just have one post with all of the 30 things I am thankful for. The reasoning for this is do you guys really want me to waste one post a day with a simple  paragraph with what I am thankful for? If I just did one list then I could stop bugging you with 2 or 3 post per day, essentially it won't be annoying. As I have basically done all of the deep and meaningful ones the rest of the list is going to be a bit more fun. So below you will find a list of the last 26 days of '30 Days of Thanks'.

I am thankful for:
5. the opportunities I have and have had to travel.
6. the internet - where would we be without it?
7. my job - I have a great job, great hours, great pay, great people.
8. my phone - again, where would we be without phones?
9. the opportunities I have had to help the community - brisbane floods - everyone helping everyone - was a great scene
10. completing an advanced diploma - actually completing a qualification is a great feeling.
11. and actually continuing to university
12. the friends I have made along the way
13. the month I spent on exchange in New Zealand - such an eye opening expereience
14. my personality - that I don't take things to seriously, that I am still a child at heart.
15. the support I get from family and friends - they are simply amazing
16. the opportunity I have to write this blog - gives me motivation to continue
17. the opportunity I had as a child to compete in gymnastics (best years of my life, regret deeply giving it up)
18. MY GRANDMOTHER! - she is so supportive, inspiring, funny, kind hearted and just all out amazing!
19. for books! where would I be without reading? I DO NOT KNOW!
20. television
21. entertainment - helps us to not take our lives so seriously
22. the opportunity I hope I get to complete a semester of study abroad - fingers crossed I get accepted
23. my trip around europe with my best of friends
24. the opportunities I get to see my favourite bands and singers in concerts
25. I am thankful for the weather in Queensland - even though I am a winter girl at heart, sometimes you really do just need a little bit of sun to give you a boost of life.
26. my parents supporting me financially until I get a proper full-time job
27. my good health - even though it could be better
28. running - best mood booster - you never feel angry or sad after a good run
29. food - ohhh how I love food!
30. I AM THANKFUL THAT I AM ALIVE!

I know some of them were really materialistic but once I expressed my thankfulness for the necessities it was kind of difficult to think of things that aren't materialistic.

Hope you enjoyed :)
Please leave a comment and let me know what you are thankful for!

hope you have a magnificent day/night.

Mothers Day - Gatton

Hello lovelies,

So as we celebrated Mothers Day yesterday with my mum we decided to head up to Gatton today and celebrate the official Mothers Day with my grandmother, my dads mum. I love going to Gatton. It's a small town just outside of Toowoomba. I love it because it's one of those little towns where I go shopping with my grandmother and everyone knows everyone so we get stopped like every 5 minutes to talk to someone. It is a close knit town. I usually take the 2 hour trip once a month to spend some time with my grandmother, as she is getting old, and I honestly don't know how much time we have left together. I also go when I am stressed at Uni or Work. It is like a mini holiday as it is a country town so internet and mobile phone reception isn't that great, so sometimes it's nice to get away from it all.
While I was there today i decided to take some photos of the lovely scenery on the drive up and on the way home. I didn't take any photos while in the town as we just stayed at my grandmothers house with my entire family, and it gets pretty stressful, so imagine if 20 people are stressing out and then I decide to pull out a camera. Wouldn't have ended well. So below are some of the pictures I took. Hope you enjoy :)

A flower shop we always stop at to get flowers for the grandmother.

Lovely shot of the green paddocks and blue sky.

                                                                   The 'Welcome' sign.

Shot of the sun shinning bright on the way home. Before the storm.

Token black and white photo. You always need to have one. I love them so much.

Storm up ahead. To be honest it never actually came, what a disappointment.

Well I hope you enjoyed all the shots I took on my day trip to Gatton.
Hope you have a magnificent day/night.
