So as we celebrated Mothers Day yesterday with my mum we decided to head up to Gatton today and celebrate the official Mothers Day with my grandmother, my dads mum. I love going to Gatton. It's a small town just outside of Toowoomba. I love it because it's one of those little towns where I go shopping with my grandmother and everyone knows everyone so we get stopped like every 5 minutes to talk to someone. It is a close knit town. I usually take the 2 hour trip once a month to spend some time with my grandmother, as she is getting old, and I honestly don't know how much time we have left together. I also go when I am stressed at Uni or Work. It is like a mini holiday as it is a country town so internet and mobile phone reception isn't that great, so sometimes it's nice to get away from it all.
While I was there today i decided to take some photos of the lovely scenery on the drive up and on the way home. I didn't take any photos while in the town as we just stayed at my grandmothers house with my entire family, and it gets pretty stressful, so imagine if 20 people are stressing out and then I decide to pull out a camera. Wouldn't have ended well. So below are some of the pictures I took. Hope you enjoy :)
A flower shop we always stop at to get flowers for the grandmother.
Lovely shot of the green paddocks and blue sky.
Shot of the sun shinning bright on the way home. Before the storm.
Token black and white photo. You always need to have one. I love them so much.
Storm up ahead. To be honest it never actually came, what a disappointment.
Well I hope you enjoyed all the shots I took on my day trip to Gatton.
Hope you have a magnificent day/night.
